THE WORD OF THE WEEK
TITLE: “Where are you going?” 5/15 thru 5/21 2022
“Then we which are alive and remain (the church) shall be caught up together with them in the clouds
(the church already dead by Faith in Christ), to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thess. 4:17-18
Have you ever thought about the end of this world as it exists today? As we grow
in Christ, we grow in hope of this day to come. Death is a fact of life. The only
way to escape it according to scripture is to be alive when Jesus returns for His
church (which I claim by Faith in Jesus Christ). For we have been pre-destined to
enter this world in SIN. But, Jesus himself appeared to put away SIN by the
sacrifice of Himself (Heb 9:26-28). The second time (The Parousia) Jesus shall
appear without SIN to save us unto salvation. And, after this comes the
judgement and woe unto those not saved. If you should die, “Where are you
going?” Take note of this “Death” epitaph below:
Now I am dead, my friend, as you stand by;
As you are standing, so once was I.
As I am now, so you will be.
Prepare, my friend, to follow me!
I heard about a visitor who read this epitaph and added these lines:
To follow you is not my intent,
Until I know which way you went!
We Christians have a wonderful assurance and hope, because of the resurrection of
Jesus Christ and His promised return during The Parousia!
Do you have that hope today? Are you producing “FRUITS”
“Where are you going?”
